Five musicians, collectively called Occupella/Singing For Peace, and a videograper have come together to create a series of music videos supporting the Occupy Movement. "Fight the Status Quo" written and lead by vocalist Hali Hammer is one of these videos.

Occupella/Singing for Peace is the creation of Bay area singers and cultural workers Hali Hammer, Betsy Rose, Nancy Schimmel, Bonnie Lockhart and Leslie Hassberg, The group organizes informal public singing gatherings at occupation sites, marches and at BART stations, to promote Peace, Justice, and an End to Corporate Domination, especially in support of the Occupy movement.

Hali Hammer has sung and played for peace and political causes for over three decades and is an active member of Freedom Song Network. Ms. Hammer wrote the lyrics of "Fight the Status Quo" based on the African American spiritual "Let My People Go". Betsy Rose and Bonnie Lockhart sing backup and TD Daniell is the videographer.
