What a nostalgia trip. I was amazed to see the photo of Camp Street with a small
group of children outside the Post Office.I was born (1947) in the house next door to the PO, which was number 19 and I can remember as a kid, that it was rumoured that
the sweet elderly lady who ran the post office, used to sleep with a loaded gun under her pillow!
From papers I have seen, my grandparents lived at ; 66 Robert Hall St. ,52 Granville St., 34 Claremont St., 88 Derby Street. Those anyway, probably in central Salford I am thinking.
@ilovemoz My best friend used to live on Frederick Street which is (or was) just off Sussex Street. We used to hang around all of these places up until 1971 when he moved. I went to school at Broughton Modern and Saint Boniface.

My grandparents and father lived in Kent Street, and later, an uncle lived in Melbourne Street.
Are the streets still there ?.

Well done. This brought back memories to a Broughton boy of the 1950s and 60s.
