I have 2 ceramic kitchen knives and have dropped the small one once onto a vinyl floor, the end 1cm of the blade broke off. It is still usable and after about 2 years of light daily use it is still sharp. The only thing is that it is not razor sharp as when I 1st got it and I have no idea how to sharpen it. Also the instructions that came with it said you can not cut bone or frozen meat with it either or it will blunt.
It looks good with its titanium handles and its ceramic blade but ... is it worth having it as long as you can use it only for cutting soft stuff - vegetables/fruits/paper - ??
As an EDC a hardened steel blade - CM-154 /VG-10/S30V - are more recommendable as they can be resharpen much easier and they are less probable to have chips ...
