if you have applecare and you have a problem do you actually get a temp product?

I don't know that. I just pitched a fit untill they dismissed the temp fee. I also sent the replacement phone back. I went through 3 or 4 refurbs before I got a new phone that didn't suck. Some of the refurbs were worse off then my original phone. Good luck if you do have problems. And don't settle, especially if you paid the $600 first day price.
