This is complete bullshit of course. It's called Hybrid Vigor and the affects don't last. In fact farmers don't keep hybrid animals specifically because the affects don't last and ultimately the animals suffer what is known as outbreeding depression.
Yes that first generation child may not be affected by a genetic disease but he can also carry many more diseases given by both his parents and thus his children have a higher rate of disease.
