  • "On my porch, I carve the little holes in the top of toothbrushes. It is exciting work and my forefathers have been engaged upon it since 1957. [Coughs] The little holes in the top are put in manually, or, in other words, once a year. I recently had the honour of demonstrating my craft before the Holy of Highs. He stopped by one day for a couple of words. I did not understand either of them."

  • Holy of Highs!

    At last we all know.

    You're a hero....PL Bollox!!!

  • I first fell in love with Peter Sellars' 'Balham' whilst still at school in the 1960's. I still love it! However, I have NEVER been able to understand two words used in 'Toothbrush Holesmanship' - "I recently had the honour of being presented to XXXX XXXX" - what is Sellars saying? HELP!!!!!!!!

  • Just played it ten times, and I too haven't a clue!. Sounds like 'holy advice', whatever that is

  • I'd buy an album of Eugene Quill's piano mastery. Can I interest any music producers?

  • @cowesontheisland I think he is mispronouncing 'his holiness' meaning the pope.

  • @jrgboy Cremations conducted with decorum and taste

  • Apparently it says the Ooni of Ife (he mispronounces it) which refers to the title of a Nigerian traditional leader......

  • Written by Frank Muir & Denis Norden & produced by George Martin, who speaks one line.

  • i like this. its cool

  • "Does ya good to have a fling occasionally."

  • Of course it was the Ooni of Ife in this skit, as anyone aged 70 or more should know. Memory is strange. I remember him but what did I have for tea?
