well i guess they can turn gravity off in Valdez

Uh...yeah. Right. Check out his wing: thick chord, lots of area. Check out the flaps: full-span and down. And the empennage responds well to prop wash.
Props don't lift; they PROPEL...hence, their name PROPELLERS. Now please tell us "not all of that is necessarily true".

It is windy, what do you think the prop does when it's spinning?

...And the only cheerleading roaring he can get are from a group of polar bears heavily wired on Russian whisky!!!

Watching this reminds me of my teens years; I used to get score plenty of highschool babes simply by poppin' the back wheels of my BMX bicycles!!! I wonder how many Eskimo babes can this dude score with them balloon wheels!!!

Just look at the other video of a Cirrus taking off at the same time for comparison.

I am utterly amazed at these idiotic comments, below.
It's a Maule. Manufactured for STOL performance.
Couple that with a moderate headwind, and there you have it.
THIS IS WHAT THIS AIRCRAFT WAS DESIGNED FOR.

It's not exactly a stock Maule. Give the pilot and designer some credit. (it's licensed in the experimental category)

Besides the balloon tires, what are the other mods?
I do give credit to the pilot. However, as I stated before, this is what these Maule's were designed for: STOL.
And how do you know it's in the Experimental category? Do you personally know this plane? Just wondering.

Comprised of a Maule M5 fuselage, M7 wings, Lycoming 0-360, extended gear, and 35" Alaskan Bushwheels, the experimental airplane is loaded with customizations.
It's called a Bushwacker. Do a search for Bushwacker Maule. You can even order a few DVD's showing the airplane in action.
