@LukeT459 Or he could explain the technique to them first, then explain it again during the game to reinforce it into their memories. You don't throw a kid in the pool who doesn't know how to swim.

Thanks much Coach!!

@CJOOConnell These drills are important for skills and technique. Players of all ages benefit from these drills for muscle memory. Practice first then play.

@wingchunray Which University did you get your Football Coaching Degree?

@LukeT459 I agree with you 100%! Any kid, with any sense will learn to repeat this drill however it is totally pointless and is only there to satisfy the need for the adult to feel like he's teaching something. Let the kids play the actual game, let them work things out for themselves, drills, cones stop start how boring and pointless to a child that actually is. They couldn't care less, they want fun, activity. This bloke should think about how children learn!

@LukeT459 You clearly speaking dumb becuz he is speaking with a english accent... and we ALL know English soccer is ahead of spain an everyone else.. FYi, this drill is ok for youngsters because he is conditioning them for real game scenerios which like you said he can explain in a ACTUAL game situation later.

This is all crap so much time in training is waisted on stupid drills that don't work, could easily explain this in an in game situation. Probably why countries like Spain are ahea because they learn the important things the right way
