this is something i would really love to try this out. i have a small problem with my backhand at the moment and would really have pleasure in trying this out. oh... um btw i think your student right there is a good example for me but why does he hit the net so often?

@yumsj8230 You can get the same effect by having someone feed you balls and blocking their face out with your hands and grip at the stopping point like in the video. Make sure they feed from various spots on the court so you work on your directional control. The player is not a student but a teaching pro, his grip on his left hand ( semi-western ) made it tough and he was a little early on some shots, but he has a very good backhand. if you're working on a better contact through the hitting zone

@yumsj8230 I suggest using an eastern forehand grip on your left hand and a continental grip with your right hand ( if you're righthanded ). As you progress you may want to slide down to a semi-western with your left for more topspin. Please let me know if this helps, and thanks for the comment. John
