joseph smith was a con man and the reason he was killed was either stealing secrets from freemasons or the fact that he was a "juggler" or "con man" in todays terms. look up the term "money digging" from the 1800's

@LkOutMtnMan Just like the ignorant men in this video, you have been misinformed by your sources. Mormons did not commit murder at Mountain Meadow. After decades of persecution, Mormons finally found refuge in Utah, but when a traveling party passed through, the men boasted about killing J. Smith and other Mormons and threatened to do it again in Utah. The threat came when other states threatened Mormons. Hence, Mormons attacked because they thought the party was a trick by persecutors.

Mormonism isnt different than any other religion. Religions all believe that they have the "true" word which means that every other religion, besides their own, is wrong. It is this teaching that "I am right and you are wrong" that makes people distrust any theology because there is no evidence that Mormonism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddism or people of Muslim faith are believable. I think whatever your religious doctrine is, it directly coorelates to which continent you were born on.

Look up Grace Mountain Meadow Massacre where the Mormons murdered men, women and children , stole all their possessions. Look up the gold tablets , check the dimensions, calculate the weight, don't think Joseph Smith carried 500lbs of gold around. They were run out of Missouri for counterfeiting, polygamy, reason they went westward still claiming Springfield the new Jeruselem. The Mormons almost went to war with the Federal Army over the two wagon train massacres they committed.
