In North-Kivu (Democratic Republic of the Congo), the ecosystem of Lake Edward in Virunga National park has been badly damaged. Fisk stocks dramatically decrease while over 50.000 people depend on this fish for their livelihoods.

With the support of IUCN NL, local NGOs intensified lobby and collaboration with all stakeholders, to restore the balance of the ecosystem and the management of the Lake.
