@heroeswillneverdie Surely there are good Bishops - it is just a pity that they don't seem to want to speak up for fear of what, I'm not quite sure. Then again, if they *are* good, I suppose they WOULD be speaking out about what injures the Church. Hmmm... ;-)

How wonderful it is when we look at the Bible and see the same struggles 2000 years ago with the religious and the incorrect application of teachings and scripture as we do today. It is almost as if the New Testament is not an old set of events 2000 years ago but contemporary current message and teaching for real Catholics today.

We need to contact, in writing to our Bishops. Praise them when they stand up for the teachings of the Church and remind them of thei resposibilities when they do not!
Tell them "we" deserve a Shepherd in our Church, leave the Social Workers to their task's!

@schoooter1 37 years ago; that's quite a while by human standards. About half a human lifetime in the USA; more on a global scale. Before personal computers and the internet, only four years after man landed on the moon. Children born after the war were leaving college . . . it's a while ago!

May the Lord raise up for the faithful many bishops the likes of St. Charles Borromeo. Although I freely admit we deserve it not.
