@ilovegnomeland yea, but dark chocolate helps my ratty with respratory issues... and i was listing good foods cause people said peas were bad
-
@ShreddinWright There are a few exceptions though. Spinach, lettuce (there's no nutrition in lettuce for a rat), uncooked potatoes, peanuts (which I was surprised at), citrus fruits, then the obvious chocolate and coffee. Though, one of my boys did get into a chocolate bar. When I left him on the bed he hopped to my bedside table and ate part of a mini Hershey bar(he was very sneaky and clever lol) and didn't get sick, but I would never give it to them.

@ringmoen lol. No it doesn't. Go to any rat website and it's on the list of safe veggies to feed them. Stop spreading lies. Most of us good and loving rat owners check out which foods they can/can't have before buying rats.

I read about this game on some rat website and I've wanted to try it, but I don't think my boys will go for it. Your rat is adorable. lol

@ringmoen Likewise, I have never heard this. In fact, everything I have ever read says pretty much the exact opposite by specifically recommending 'pea fishing' as an enrichment activity for pet rats.
"Where'd you put the pea?" LOL!
When your rats go under those coubords do they some how climb up through into the draws?

It's all open on the inside, and they just climb up the backs of the drawers and hop right in!

please respond: what kind of peas do u use for this? where do u buy them from? and what is the best brand?

Just regular frozen peas in a bag, Green Giant or what have you. Just thaw them in some warm water, then fill your bowl up with room temp water and add thawed peas!
