  • dont forget that Page let Diddy use Kashmir for one of his songs...which i think is more blasphemous than this. at least allison krauss can sing...Diddy is just a con artist.

  • well, it is Robert Plant, he should be able to cover his own songs. And I wouldn't be surprise if Page like the covers as he is very open-minded about music in general.

  • Alison is an extremely talented woman - she' s not just record company eye-candy forced upon Robert; this version is beautiful, so what if it's not Sandy Denny - it's just different - but a little imagination is all that's required to picture overlooking Mordor from an outcrop in the Adirondacks.

  • What are some English blokes pissing and moaning that Plant is singing a Zep song with a US bluegrass/country artist? Laughable really that they're so short sighted. Robert Plant himself would slap the shit out of anyone who suggested that his duet with her was "blasphemous", english, american, or otherwise.

  • @nihonjinonnanochitsu, Nice, asshole, real nice...let us know when your parents let you out of the basement.

  • @whoopeecat HE COOLABERATED JUST TO GET A TASTE OF THAT PUSSY

  • Too bad the sound quality on this video is so bad, this must have been fantastic live.

  • So magical ! This is the real thing...

I love the vocal arrangements (not as easy as it seems, sometimes).

The only thing lacking is... about 30 " length on Alison's dress... a few torches... and a crown on the King (which I would seriously consider on upcoming tours). Let's go medieval baby ..!

  • @ironman5454 OH PLEASE!! He's onstage singing "The Lemon Song" now so what's the difference?? He might as well be doing it with the guys who made him famous and not with a bunch of hillbillies! I'm willing to bet you that McCartney wishes Lennon and Harrison were alive so they could be on stage together again. Daltry and Townshend are still doing it and doing it well I might add. Aside from a few good albums in the 80's and early 90's, Plant has been NOTHING without Jimmy Page!

  • @whatsitake And also done in a studio. This is someones amateur concert footage... and it still sounds great !

I've seen Sandy Denny with Fairport Convention 'live' and Krauss does a A1 job here, trust me. Not trying to take a thing from the great Denny, just don't think that Krauss isn't as talented. I doubt it was Krauss who suggested they do this duet.Think Plant would have suggested it if he didn't think she was up to the part ? I know I'm responding to a 2 year old post here but I have to!

  • @cooktree You have to 'feel it' to do it any justice and trust me, at 60 years old you not only DON'T feel it on most days, you feel a bit foolish doing it. The day will soon come when they will have zero interest. Early Zep was testosterone fueled. Male horniness on steroids. That fades over time unless you're an old lecherous perv gobbling Viagra when natures telling you to slow down. The mans doing what hes comfortable doing and he doesn't 'owe' making a fool out of himself to anyone. NOT 21.
