Director's Notes

T is for Trick was made when I found out about the contest the Alamo Drafthouse and Magnet Films was putting on. Being a fan of both I knew I had to jump into the competition. I often enjoy doing contest videos because there are always a set of rules that you must follow and I love a good challenge. Here we had to use the letter T and figure out what word we were going to make a short about and how it would lead to the death of someone. We also had to start the short in red and end it in red. Trick is a dark little tale but still has my signature humor all over it. I am hoping this will set it apart from the other submissions and take us to the top. It was great to work with a larger number of actors (or my friends). Everyone busted their ass on this and I could not be happier with the outcome. Listen to that wonderful score created by Scott Glasgow. He's a music mastermind and the genius behind the score to my film Lo. Thanks to Ward and Annie for offering up their apartment and letting us stay until 4:00am, screaming and murdering. Enjoy this short and please take a moment to vote for it and support my art!
