Stem Cell Transplant is a grueling medical procedure that gives hope to cancer patients for a new cancer-free life. This procedure involves lowering the patient's white cell count and removing the stem cells and then re-introducing them into the patient's system when the white cell count is near zero. In some cases, the cancer patient will receive stem cells from a cancer-free donor. In either case, the patient must be in a germ-free environment while the body builds the white cell count to a level that will keep the patient from contracting any infection. The recovery time can take from six to twelve months. During this time, the patient is unable to work and is highly susceptible to any kind of infection.
Since these patients are unable to work for a long period of time, the stem Cell Transplant Recovery Fund has been established to assist cancer patients with their financial obligations while they are unable to work or contribute to their household's finances.
Your contribution of any size to this fund is tax deductible. But more than that, your contribution will help patients who have another chance at life start that new life without the burden of debt caused by their inability to work or contribute to their household's finances during the recovery.
Austin Lapaille is one of the many patients currently undergoing this medical procedure. light to the Nations International would like to show these patients the love of God by providing much needed financial support.
Still have questions? please contact us anytime! We look forward to hearing from you.
