Christian's solo is soo nasty in this. One of the few bassist who really can transcend with the instrument. If u were to transcribe this solo for piano or sax it would still be a bitch to play. He's the man hands down.

Heard him bow "Moonlight in Vermont" many years ago at the old Catalinas in LA and it knocked my socks off. Heard him play electric as well and he sure as hell ain't no slouch there!

I love these really angular, avante garde, bass solos. But they are so hard to come by. Takes alot of mental energy and focus to create that kind of solo..
Christian McBride, hands down is the best bassist in Jazz today!! And Alvin Queen is legendary...Benny Green too...this was a great GROUP and is a great recording. thanks for sharing
