Starcraft - Speed Run - Z - 09

This is a speed run of Starcraft. You might call it a time attack or something, but if its "do something as fast as you can" then I just call it a speed run.

I did not make this speed run. I did nothing to this speed run other than upload it or split it into parts (if more than 10 minutes long). This run was done by Philip 'ballofsnow' Cornell.

Author comments:
A previous strat was to use an Overlord to transport a drone across a cliff and to the Kaydarin Crystals to avoid enemy fire. BluBlu suggested sending a drone right from the start and using my Hydras and Zerglings to distract the enemy forces. I used this and the Stack Glitch so that the drone wouldn't bump into any units on the way.

The hard part after that is surviving the attack from orange. I got lucky this time and they came at around 4 minutes on the clock. Sometimes they come at 6 minutes and just ruin the whole run.

Bringing the Drone back to the beacon was also quite hard, since you lose the Drone if it's in an Overlord when it dies. I got a little frantic when switching Overlords but I managed.

I upload lots of other speed runs so just check out my channel and see if you like anything on it. You can also click the "playlists" button and see them and just watch them all from that. If you want a speed run uploaded, send me a message and I'll look into it. There might already be hundreds of a certain type of speed run on Youtube already, but oh well. I'm doing this because whenever I watch them, I want just one person to have all the good speed runs. This way, I hope to be that "one person to have all the speed runs". I know that there are thousands of them out there, but hey, gotta start somewhere right? Enjoy!

the overlord thing was insane. The speedrunner could have saved a little time, though, if he/she were insanely lucky with the overlords and dropped off the drone as soon as you could.
