Put Eli with Calvin Johnson. The best deep ball passer with the best deep ball receiver? It would not be fair.

Yes Calvin is amazing but w/o Stafford he's not as good...did everyone say Calvin johnson was the best WR in the NFL when jon kitna was QB??? I don't think so. the lions with stafford and w/o is a HUGE difference...Stafford carried his team on his back too. Just look at the numbers- Stafford this year is better than Eli. as much as I hate skip i agree with him.

Both carried their team on their backs. Matt threw for 5,038 yards with 41 touchdowns, and turned a terrible Detroit Lions team around to 10-6 and in the playoffs for the first time since 1999 and in my opinion the ultimate Pro Bowl snub. But Eli went on to win his second Super Bowl and second SB MVP. It's a hard decision, but I think Eli is the all-around better QB.

Honestly, I kinda hate how Stephen A Smith talks, but I got to give him props for being one of the most intelligent and arguably the best analyst that ESPN has had to offer in recent history.

Indeed, that is when you don't factor into the shape of the defense prior to the Jets game. But yeah had the defense been fully healthy from the start, one can wonder what their record could have been.
It wasn't the case for most of the season however.

The lions defense isn't even remotely close to the Giants defense when the Giants are fully healthy, like they were in the playoffs.
