It's so stupid! EX GAY DOES NOT EXIST! They are gay people who are in fact repressing their sexual desires! It's total bollox! you should see "But I'm a Cheerleader" it's a brilliant movie and it deals with this whole "Ex Gay" rubbish in a very comical way.

Parents DO force their kids to be "straight." They Do force and damage these kids. They are often more suicidal when they are done with exodus than they were going in! Exodus should be shut down!

Holy! This is not what being a Christian is about! This is exactly why I am not apart of any church!
Has everybody forgotten who Jesus hung out with? The people at the bottom of society - prostitutes etc.
We must help people in need rise to the stop not change them from who they truly are.
Love is what Jesus spoke of. Camps like exodus, like many church movements, do not promote what Jesus intended.
Gays are to be loved and accepted like every human being.

LMFAO you actualy managed to say it. it's all true

People like you is what is wrong with the world. Instread of realizing what brings us together, you use our differences to tear us apart. How dare you tell someone, especailly a young person that they are need to change their orientation to be excepted. You should all look at yourselves and realize that ex gay therapy doesn't work. It's a scam to opress people and make them lie to themselves about who they are and you get rich.

love in action is for adults. refuge is the program for children. as long as they are under 18 their parents legally have the right to send them there the same way that they can send them to boarding school or boot/summer camp. when they reach adulthood exodus is there to assist men and women who want a change in their lifestyle and they do not force people.

thanks 4 telling me, i can't believe they actually do this

A conservative Christian group that tries to "cure" people of their homosexuality.

The ex-gay camps don't work. The co founder of Love In Action just admitted in a letter that being gay cant be changed and that it harms the children horribly. (continued)
i heard about exodus, but as far as i know they dont "convert" gay people, they just want to give a chance to those christians who struggle with their sexuality, so those people who want to obey the Bible can live in abstinence. they're only addressing christians, so the most probably the're not gonna storm out into the street and catch random gay guys forcing them into their scary gay converter machines. XD

I suggest you watch the video titled "Exgay Alan Chambers On Ted Haggard's Heterosexual Conversion" where Melissa Fryrear speaking at an Exodus event in Phoenix claims she's met people who have been "cured" overnight and never had another gay feeling again. (Continues...)

You are correct in that Exodus does not pull random gays off the street but that's not what this video is about, it's about children forced by their parents against their will to attend conversion programs which are rejected by ever major mental health organization in the nation. Subjecting children to junk science is deplorable.
