Channel 9 Perth International Airport Bomb Scare 3 May 2008

On 3rd May 2008 4 suspicious boxes being unloaded from Malaysian MH124 were felt to vibrating, and were considered a threat. Turned out to be only plastic fake flowers.

its all stupid baggage handler fault!! Its not the airline fault!!omg this is really ridiculous.. and they take it very seriously lol. Anyway just think about this, why would the handler put it there unattented and then suspected it was a bomb? lol wtf

markston92 How about you get a job with Qantas and learn their procedures before you bad mouth them. Safety is EVERYBODY's job at an airport.

They felt it vibrate, it didn't have proper markings, so they put it on the ground and called AFP. Get your facts right!

I remember this. We were due to land at Perth International Airport, but because of the bomb scare we had to land our 737-800 at perth domestic airport, on the taxi way! They had to close both the domestic and internation airports down. Later we had to wait on the plane for three hours until it was clear and we could get off. It wasn't until 1am when we got home. My worst flight ever. :(

Wow..how come a flower inside a box can vibrate? I dont understand. The women want to send the flower to Kuala Lumpur or someone purposedly drop the boxes near the MAS aircraft?
