On Aug. 28, 2006, Prof. Stephen Walt, a respected scholar, gave a talk at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. He demonstrated how the powerful Israel Lobby has exercised "unmatched power" over our foreign policy for nearly forty years, which hasn't been in the interest of our Republic.

  • "My sympathies are all with the Jews. But my sympathy does not blind me to the requirements of justice. Palestine belongs to the Arabs [as] England belongs to the English or France to the French. It is wrong and inhuman to impose the Jews on the Arabs. What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct."

    Mohatma Gandhi 1938

  • "antisemitism" is not only misnomer, it's a method of shifting articulate dissent and controlling the debate. One has to be an abject moron or willful idiot to suggest Israel doesn't exercise disproportionate influence on American policy.

  • ehh keep your snouts out of the jews business see....

  • אנטישמי מסריח

  • freedom for Pedro Varela, in jail because sold books, political incorrect books not comfortables for the establishment.

  • well said that man

  • antisemitism is a common pretext to muzzle critics, but there are also enough jewish critics who criticize israeli politics.

a prof like him would also risk his academic credibility if he slipped too far to the right side.

something is wrong when a religious group of 1.7% determines us foreign policy and public opinion.

  • sorry, i confused mearsheimer with dershowitz.

    never mind

  • i still don't know what to make of all this,

especially after following the debates between finkelstein/chomsky (who i deeply respect) and mearsheimer over israeli policy.

    something doesn't fit
