I liked the movie a lot, but i remember watching the anime when i was younger and that is still in my opinion the best telling of Escaflowne.

yep the movie, and the tv series, are very differnt in the end, they sortof changed the plot, but both are in the the same place and same characters. but for example princess milerna (if i remember correctly) is part of allens ship to begin with, and also how hitomi comes to gaia alone in escaflowne

This is really nice :) the song is really great as well. Although I do have to pick about something, in the into you typed, it's spelt "gaea" not "gaia". It did end abruptly. But other than that, this was really well done :)
