True. Besides, the food stamp program is not "free money" to help people buy a butt load of food and get fat off. No, the food stamp program in most states require people to look for employment, provide proof of employment in order to qualify. That is the case my home state of Virginia. The food stamp program is a nutritional substitute and get this it was Ronald Wilson Reagan who made it easier for people to qualify for food stamps! Foxnews, I 'd hate to present them with facts, they'd die.

So much for "fair and balance" Anyway, food stamps are a nutritional supplement. In some cases foods stamps are as much 8-10 dollars, so that is not a lot of money. As far as government dependency programs, everyone pays into a "government program"-Have you heard of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid? Interestingly most people in the South are on some for of government assistance, but yet they vote against their economic interest and vote Republican.

I am always amazed at how the news media and republicans look at Obama's administration as a normal 4 year administration cycle. The ignorance of their stance is that this country went through (and still is to some extent) one of the worst economic collapses in history. This is not going to get better over night, let alone 4 years or 8 years most likely. A large number of those people on food stamps were hitting the program towards the end of GWB's administration.

Sally does such a great job. I'm glad she didn't tone it down now that she's on the payroll. Monica Crowley is disgusting. In typical conservative fashion she strings together many lies so that they can't all be responded to.
