I am feeling very good 3 weeks after my surgery. I have a little weakness in my back and some residual numbness in my foot. I feel pretty normal otherwise. I am being extremely careful about twisting, bending, & lifting. I can do all of those things but I don't want to disturb the healing process. The staples are out, the bruising is gone, the scar looks pretty good but there is a small opening still that is keeping me out of the pool. Otherwise, I'm beginning to return to life as normal. No work for 3 more weeks and I can start picking up my now 8 month old starting next week.

  • Staples??? Wow! Why did they use staples? I had the same surgery and they used clear glue like substance.

  • @675010056 Just had my surgery 3 weeks ago ( L5. S1 lumba laminectomy) and I am up to a consistant 4 mile walk now. I am pain free and I have no regrets! I am going back to gym tomorrow and look forward to October as I can go back to teaching my ZUMBA classes again only 4 this time.

  • Just had my surgery 3 weeks ago ( L5. S1 lumba laminectomy) and I am up to a consistant 4 mile walk now! I thank you for posting this and I have no Regrets either. You see I am a Zumba instructor and taught 7 classes a week...however this is not what made me have surgery...it actually helped me with pain managment until the disc finally herniated. I am going back to gym tomorrow and look forward to October as I can go back to teaching my classes again only 4 this time. Best wishes from texas

  • Hi thanks so much for posting these videos!! I was wondering if you had a laminectomy (cutting of the bone) from your surgery? Also, how large was your herniation and at what vertebral level was it? Thanks!! I have a herniation at L5 S1.

  • @dhide14 Shutup faggot. I care.

  • After your surgery ,when the pain stop?

  • I wanted to say thank you for your video series on your back. I'm about to have a double microdiscectomy in three weeks and its reasuring to see that it didn't paralyze you so hopefully it will be alright.
