ESky 900 (ES500) - My First Flight

I was looking to buy the ESmart but will not do so until Esky commits to supporting it. So building a EXI 500 instead. I think Esky is shooting themselves in the foot on this one.

Just curious, why would anyone buy this kit instead of the EXI 500 at the same price? The EXI is compatible with the Trex 500, so parts are found everywhere, and the EXI has a full metal head and tail and looks much better. Only reason I could think of, is if you are sponsored by E-Sky...

Also agree, E-sky is a great way to start out, but I wouldn't go to them if I wanted to build a quality helicopter. Almost got the E-Smart when I was looking at the 600 size, which would have been E-stupid. The Trex 600 has MUCH better parts. It costs quite a bit more, but you get what you pay for. Don't see people flying really intense with any E-sky products, and personally, I think they're all pretty ugly in comparison.

i like the es600 better but i like the sound of the es500 more, just the sound of the blades chopping around is sweet

i agree with you. i guess esky want's to be known for making good heli's and not Great heli's

Ok, thanks!
How necessary is it to check the screws before and after EVERY flight? Do they really come loose that easy? I check mine (Belt Cp v2) about every 7-10 flights. I sure don't want to crash because of a loose screw!

Every 7-10 flights is good, I am checking it twice because this is the very first time this heli has ever flown.

No where near as good as the ES600 (E-Smart), but still alot of fun.

That might be because you have put cheap electronics on. If you give it a 401 and some other servo's it should be a lot better.
Were do you get spare parts for this machine?

uhh, no the ES500 will never be as good as the ES600, no matter what electronics you put in it. The ES600 is better and theres no denying it.
