aliens ate my babysitter

I wrote a synthesizer "server" for my iPhone that can be controlled over Wi-Fi, as well as a Mac client to parse the MIDI data from my controller and send it over UDP.

By sticking the phone in my mouth it functions as a very awkward talkbox (and I thought enunciating with the Banshee was hard...). The slight network lag makes my timing a little weird on the keys. Even so, it's pretty fun to play with.

The main differences:

a) It's really thin! Neat and compact but the throw on the keys is obviously very short.

b) No mod/pitch wheels. You use sensitive buttons instead, take some getting used to.

c) No transport controls, but there are 8 assignable buttons you can use for whatever you want.

d) Cheaper

It's a toss-up to me, they're both nice for what they are. I got it because I wanted a controller that'd fit on my deskfor easy access when I'm experimenting and tweaking.
