The main differences:
a) It's really thin! Neat and compact but the throw on the keys is obviously very short.
b) No mod/pitch wheels. You use sensitive buttons instead, take some getting used to.
c) No transport controls, but there are 8 assignable buttons you can use for whatever you want.
d) Cheaper
It's a toss-up to me, they're both nice for what they are. I got it because I wanted a controller that'd fit on my deskfor easy access when I'm experimenting and tweaking.
