This is not the first flight of mine but it is far the best - not as video material but as experience.

It was an introductory flying lesson with 1 hour ground briefing and 1 hour actual flight which included plane walk-around, starting up, checklist, take-off, flying on route, various maneuvers, sightseeing in the beautiful coastline of San Francisco and landing.

The flight was done from Palo Alto to Marin County airport (my 1 hr. flight) and back (my friend's 1 hr. flight)
(note - the landing in the movie is my friend's landing because he failed to film my landing - but both landings were almost the same - we needed the same help from the instructor)

  • Awesome video! can you share the instructor's or his flying school's info?...I would love to take my girl friend on this sweet ride!

  • Hi,

It was at Sundance Flying Club in Palo Alto, I don't remember the instructor's name, but you should contact the club on phone and they will schedule a flight for you.

    Have Fun :-)

  • How much do you need to pay for an introductory flight?

  • as I remember I payed 160$, but because I was with a friend (he payed also) we have flown 2 hours - one a student pilot and one as passenger, so it worth it :D

  • novice mistake=2 hands on yoke

  • :D

no problem, now I fly ultralights, there you have a stick only :D

  • @nagyizee naaw most people don't get to take off on their own on an introductory flight. Looks like you did just fine. I think a novice mistake is forgetting to enjoy the flight then throwing out random youtube insults to compensate.

  • i love how a warrior's ground effect lasts forever!.. awesome feeling!! riding on a pillow :)

  • can we switch the music off ?

  • @LaZyLuKe25 lol i did the same my first time jaja

  • I meant to write (type) "Cessna"....

  • I guess it's only Cessn 150/172 that the PIC should ALWAYS have (1) hand on the throttle and (1) on the yoke during take off to insure that the throttle stays at full power (climb out) power? That's what I was taught....
