yeah the intake really makes that turbo sound good. when driving past people it sounds like a semi. It really turns heads.

@NCDPerformance cummins didnt make 2 stroke diesels. detroit and some other people did but they never put them into trucks from the factory. so your dumb

Diesels don't have wastegates...turbos have wastegates. And not all of them have wastegates. Depends on the needs of the engine application. Dodge didn't begin using wastegated Holsets until 94 I believe...for example. Not to mention all the big rig engines that do not have wastegated turbos.

@rdickey4691 another thing you could do is take the turbo silencer ring out to really make the turbo whistle. i think with this ram its the intake that makes the most difference. i got a 99 ram 24v magnaflow exhaust, aFe intake, and the turbo ring is removed. i gotta get a video up of it with what it has now.

Hey man I have a quick question if you don't mind answering, How do you get your turbo to sound like that? Is it from the 5in straight piped exhaust? or that intake you talked about? or both? For some reason my cummins does sound like that but it only has a 4in banks exhaust with a muffler, and a K&N cone filter on it. would it make a big difference in turbo sound by takin off the muffler on the exhaust??? Thanks

Diesels have wastegates, not blow off valves, just morons like that guy above think they are b.o.v.s and it doesnt really keep it from barking, but moreover it keeps it from overspooling
