The controlled study documented in these videos show that concealed carry permit holders are fooling themselves if they think they will be able to react effectively to armed aggressors. Most CCW holders won't even be able to un-holster their gun. They will more likely be killed themselves or kill innocent bystanders than stop the aggressor. Wow, ABC really is a corrupt dishonest news outlet. This video is slanted in 5 thousands ways. You have cops with a lifetime of training coming in and firing at the person they know has the "gun". And what they don't tell you is that the students were prepped to "fail" this test. They weren't even told that they could shoot in this circumstance. The whole thing is a joke. A joke that prob cost ABC about $250,000 to create on film to spread their propaganda.

@ZombieTex1 Real CHL holders stop and prevent crime every day, but there's no stats on it because the crime was averted ... not committed. Real CHL holders defend themselves successfully every day. This video is nothing but propaganda designed to dupe you into disarming yourself so that when the SHTF, the government won't have to do it. This is just one more way they make you dependent on them, and when you become dependent for the defense of your very life, it's over. Your life is theirs.

She says "If this had been real, Joey would have been killed." No, if this had been real, Joey wouldn't have been wearing thick gloves that impaired his ability to get a good grip of the gun, wouldn't have been wearing an extra long shirt that obstructed his access to his gun, wouldn't have been wearing bulky head gear that obstructed his view, and the shooter wouldn't have targeted Joey immediately after shooting the teacher. Eliminate those factors, and Joey has a REAL fighting chance!

LOL, This is funny. It doesn't mean that we should not CC. It shows that you should always train. And by the way, from my point of view, one that has combat experience, this is a perfect environment. Cops with years of experience are the shooters. I don't know of any student that fails a test and is stressed out, go to the range and practice before they go into a class room and shot someone. So they are just a incompetent as a novice with a gun. So don't let this video stop you from carrying.

Now what happens if someone who is trained with a gun is put in the same simulation w/ the same prior knowledge of the students.

I'm not one of those people who thinks people should be able to carry guns on campus, or even on private property if the owners of that property forbid it. But this video really shows nothing. The odds of getting out the gun in that situation and doing something are slim and none. But they are significantly reduced when you don't have a gun. The whole exercise was interesting to watch, but doesn't contribute to the debate in any way.
