I mostly play heel up and when i need to make some fast double strokes on the bass drum i use "sliding technique" in stead of my double pedal. Here's a small demonstration of my sliding technique.

PS : Sorry about the poor quality...

  • i think you gotta practice it slower and louder but good job

  • We can't hear the bass drum loudly because when we hit it we push the volume to the front part of the drum. That's why drummers hear their bass drum sound lower then someone outside the drums.Plus it's a mobile phone which recorded this video,so those arethe reasons why the volume is not heard properly.Thank you for your comments...I do care about them.

  • Hmmmm,yes,you have point.Thnx...

  • It's because the poor quality of the recording ability of a mobile phone...

  • if the mobile phone captured the second stroke clearly, why not the first stroke? No offense dude just commenting, you gotta work out on the first stroke. Still good job!

  • It not that we cant her the bass drum, its just that each stroke isnt at equal volume.

But as said before, practice slower, with fine attention to detail. i think by now you probably have it down (you posted your last comment 2 weeks ago), but just for anyone else whos reading.

  • Its fast.. but not dynamically accurate.. Work on the first stroke and it will be perfect!

  • bit noisy.
