REPORT -- INDIA, Calcutta: the legacy of Mother Teresa. Calcutta, India's third largest city, is home to 15 million people, 2/3rds of whom live in slums, temporary housing or on the road. It was in this chaotic city that Mother Teresa set up her first clinic, a home for the sick and dying, in 1952. Thirteen years after her death, Calcuttas poorest still come to here in search of food, care and shelter.

  • all who comment negative about mother teresa must attend to the sick people in india to your self, wash their wounds, feed them with love , live with them and pray for them in their death bed...do these to be worthy of your self!!! god bless u all!

  • she wasnt that wise enough... in using the funds she got...or to define her inner longing for god even to herself and .....considered the fatalist philosophy to be true.. but one thing which stands out about her was her compassion.. her love...her passion for the cause she considered to be true..her love..it is really very hard to live the life she lived and think that self lessly as she did potrayed a way on how life can be enjoyed with some of these traits and the necessity of these traits.

  • cool

  • The vision & Heart Mother Teresa Had in 1950 till end of her life... billion people still doesn't have 0.01% of it :(

  • @ryuu304 ryuu304, you practically took the words right out of my mouth. I couldn't have said it any better. It is the misapplication, the mishandling, the misinterpretation of religion and religious doctrine which has caused so much suffering and even danger throughout millenia. The Ten Commandments are a prime example. They make perfect sense. It's the distortions that ruin them for us, not the rules themselves.

  • @Christopholaes I'd also like to point out that referring religion as "poison" is a pretty offensive thing to do. Sure, it has caused much suffering, but this suffering was caused by human who misinterpreted religion, not religion itself. Most religions, including Christianity, call for people to treat others like themselves and to be selfless. So those who forcibly convert are not true Christians, Muslims, etc. I'd like you to know that not all religious people are narrow-minded hypocrites.

  • @Christopholaes There were probably many factors that we'll never know about. Perhaps she was a phoney or perhaps she was not. The important thing is we shouldn't be quick to point fingers and we should just look past all this and help people for helping people's sake. My only wish is that people will not look at all Christian aiders in a suspicious, they're-only-doing-for-themselves way. There are plenty of genuine Christians, so I hate it when people generalize.

  • @ryuu304 no he said what i did, you want to believe she was good, DESPITE the facts, go ahead. I myself visited her "home for the dying" it's WORSE than the rumours. And anyone who could run that home in such a way while pocketing millions from dictators despots and criminals has to be a cruel sadist! Add to that she herself said many times she feels god through others suffering! You talk of respect, be respectful of those she willing watch suffer and die when many could EASILY be cured!!

  • @Christopholaes I'm pretty sure he said nothing ELSE has changed. How do YOU know Mother Teresa was a "horrible sadist"? It's evident that she has made a change, however big or small, a change, and I'm pretty sure calling someone names and judging them based on guesses does no good to bring positive change to the world. I do not mean to attack you, but please be respectful. Peace.

  • He's says it himself "nothing much has changed in the last six decades", where did the billions of dollars given to and taken by mother Teresa gone? To build churches round the world to s[read more religious poison. This video is completely dishonest about the facts! Sh was a horrible sadists who like to bathe in the suffering of others to feel some kind of link with her delusion (god). If this were any fringe cult they would have been shut down decades ago!!
