The worst is yet to come: Unemployed Americans should hunker down for more job losses
BY NOURIEL ROUBINI

Sunday, November 15th 2009, 4:00 AM

Think the worst is over? Wrong. Conditions in the U.S. labor markets are awful and worsening. While the official unemployment rate is already 10.2% and another 200,000 jobs were lost in October, when you include discouraged workers and partially employed workers the figure is a whopping 17.5%.

While losing 200,000 jobs per month is better than the 700,000 jobs lost in January, current job losses still average more than the per month rate of 150,000 during the last recession.

  • Love this video of how bad things are especially in Oregon where I live and the REAL unemployment rate here is at least 55% or more. Crime is rampent and more and more jobs I am going to see about say they cannot pay me and want me to work for NOTHING. Never have I seen that here in Oregon until now. I think it has to do with the lawsuits people have been able to file and win because they are jealous people are getting paid for certain kind of call center jobs where we have to sit on our rear.

  • Thank you for posting this amazing video of Glen Beck speaking the truth. There is no recovery. Evil has taken over and they are lying to us making us think things are getting better when they are not. I have been unemployed since August of 2009 when the company I was working for moved to one of 6 states that does not have to pay federal minimum wage. I cant get a job and I have a 4 year college degree and it means NOTHING. I have had alot of interviewers and get nothing but NOS.

  • Yes... yes... we are trying to start a revolution. "Refounding America." And if we spend enough time stating lies, we may be able to start a revolution and people will start flying planes into IRS buildings.

  • He is selling just his worthless show. What he is talking about it happen before it will happen again, point is how to profit from it, be a winner not looser

  • No one wants to believe the truth.

Get out of debt, if you can!

Only lies are believed. The devil is alive and well.
