@VictorLepanto Yeah it's all glory and adventure, none of which exists in a war. Ok it can be gritty and brutal but they focas on stupid stuff.

I think it was the day after they stopped filming this movie that Hollywood forgot how to make a proper war movie.

Such a shame...Admiral Halsey tried to save the Enterprise as a war memorial but she was scrapped in 1959. Well at least the later Essex class carriers survive
