The use of camera angles, soundtrack and script was geared to make the Subaru look inferior. Note how with the Freelander they capture the sound of its undercarriage knocking from the outside. With the forester they captured the audio from the inside which (by virtue of acoustics) makes it sound worse! also the Scooby seemed to fare equally well in all the tests. Sad that fifth Gear has to resort to such antics to prove and English car better. Your credibility just went down the crapper guys!

Your kidding right? Land Rover is trash! And expensive piece of garbage! Forester is a damn reliable,dependable car. This was the worst review ever! Remember they payed this twat to say this. It was in the script. The Fozzy is pretty capable in light off road conditions.I have a 2011 5 speed. I traded a modified 07 Chevy z71 for it. I got the heavy 4X4 stuff out of my system.

british always worship they cars like no one else!

but they make the most useless cars, big engines, 0(zero) reliability and with the worst electronics ever!

Japanese manufacturer still makes the best 4x4 cars! Even Russia makes cars better that british manufacturers!

Over 95% of vehicles made in Japan in past 20+ years are still on streets!

Except LR Discovery(first two generations), UK does not makes any reliable 4x4 cars, or ...let's just say cars!

After 40K miles here at the 5th gear playground we found the Land Rover needed $5K worth of repairs because the British failed to make a long lasting engine.
