  • @CogecoHelps This change has made me shop for HD Antena which will give me a usable non-encrpted HD digital signal that will work with all my devices. There's always Netflix for the rest.

  • @CogecoHelps I already have a digital TV but it's useless with your service because you're encryting. My PVR can do analog and ATSC, neither of which work now with your 'better' service.

  • @CogecoHelps You're trying to increase revenue by renting out more digital decryption boxes. Stop lying about providing a better 'digital' service.

  • @flammon404 In order to read the digital signals, you must own a digital converter or receiver. You will experience better picture and sound. Please call 1-855-542-2805. Thank you, #Cogeco^yb

  • @bman55golf Hello, I am very sorry to read this. This digital migration program is in fact design to improve our services. By converting analog signals into digital, our customers get better results and improve our channel offering. We are always available to speak with you at 1-855-542-2805 or you can ask us questions on twitter.com/cogecohelps. #Cogeco^yb

  • Cogeco is making the switch to satellite service a more viable option. They have taken away the biggest selling point they had in that the customer did not need a box at every set.

It has little to do with improving service, more on selling and renting more equipment. I'll be looking to dump them asap.

  • I have a diigital TV with digital service and I still can't get the digital channels or the old analog channels. Cogeco's solution is to provide me with a box that converts digital to analog for my digital TV! So the picture and sound will be worse for me because I have a digital TV. This has notihng to do with providing a better service, it's about Cogeco wanting to rent out or sell more of their digital boxes. What a sad state of affairs.

  • @gaIIery Apparently you can't use your vcr, and must now purchase a DVR if you want to tape these channels that are now shown in digital. I wanted one that would allow me to also tape onto DVD discs, but the Future Shop guy told me the only one he had for Cogeco just had a hard drive. That means I can't rent DVD movies and watch them in this cogeco-friendly DVR. By the way, the DVR is $500. What am I gaining for this digital switch over??? The picture looks no better than it was in analog.

  • Choice? What choice?

  • Not explicit enough. You aren't telling us what our actual choice is in this matter. And do customers need a DVR if they wish to record shows provided via digital, or can they still record ALL channels using a VCR?
