http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. On new year's day 2012, it was like a dream-come-true! Just a year ago, I was there to watch the IFMAR 1/8 Nitro Buggy Off-road Final which featured RC greats like Cody King (he won it!), Jared Tebo (3rd), Atsushi Hara (2nd), Ryan Lutz, and many more, and now a year later, I get to do my practice on this same track.

Here's the first 2 laps which my wife helped record on her new Iphone 4S.

It's such a huge track that makes the tracks here in Singapore look really gay (i.e. the "Puny" Turf City track which charges S$30-40 per race, no practice or bashing allowed). I must say it's quite a challenge to negotiate turning so even at session end, I didn't really max the throttle out.

If anyone's interested to get here, they can get the address and info from http://www.rcca.co.th. Track fee is just 150thb, which is only about US$5 or a little less than that.

  • I'm in Pattaya from the 20th February from the UK and would like to take my 1/8 buggy to run on the track. is there anyone over there I can contact to get permission or a club I can email. I can't find any contact details for the track at all.

    Thanks

    Sam

  • @sammybuttmunch Hi Sam, their website is under construction. You can reach them on facebook, search for "rcca thailand"

they're open EVERY day of the year. Track fee is only 3 pounds.

When you're there, talk to someone at the pro shop, or the cafe and tell them you're there to run your car. there may be an event to join in.

If they don't speak english, say "pom ma wing road, jai tang hai klai?"

Translation: I'm here to run my car, who to pay to?

  • Sweet track. I'd LOVE to run on something like that. Alas here in the UK and the shite weather we have, we have astroturf which is usually full of mould due to weather. haha. Think I need to move to the US.
