Anthony Demaria of ADL, speaks to Sound Pure Studios about the $20,000 Audio compressor that he delivered to Sound Pure Studios. The unit is based on a perfect replica of the legendary Fairchild 660 and Fairchild 670 (2-channel stereo compressor). The Fairchild compressor is often considered the compressor by which all others should be judged. Essentially, it is the de facto Compressor of the Gods. Unfortunately the few vintage units remaining are aging, possessing heat related internal issues, deterioration and other problems; original units are not only scarce but often times in very bad condition, and very unreliable. Therefore Anthony Demaria of Anthony Demaria Labs was focused and destined to bring this world-renowned, but formerly impossible-to-duplicate unit forward in to the modern world. 5 years in the making, this painstaking recreation of the original Fairchild 670 boasts 16 tubes and 8 audio transformers. All the tubes and audio transformers are spec-matched. The tubes are identical to the original, and the audio transformers were one-by-one duplicates custom made for Anthony through his own painstakingly laborious, many-year process of having these transformers duplicated to his spec. This two channel version is also available in a 1-channel unit that is called the ADL660. The ADL660 and ADL670 Fairchild replicas are available for purchase from Sound Pure, the premier dealer for Anthony Demaria Labs. @jakemillermusic Sorry that our free content is so disappointing to you.

@soundpurestudios I can watch people speak in the street - you have a 10 minute video describing and discussing a unit made to be heard. A brief explanation on a product is to be expected (and appreciated) but 9 minutes of talking with 30 seconds of audio seems fairly redundant to me in said context.

@jakemillermusic Back again? You've made your point... for those that are contemplating spending $20k, hearing the back-story about this gorgeous piece of equipment is valuable. It's clearly not for you (guessing you probably aren't in the market), so if you would, move on to something more productive so that we can too. We keep one on demo at all times in our facility, and will even process our clients individual content so that they can hear what it can do. Hearing it is not a problem.
