This video is part of an old video edited in Ponselle's birth centenary. Before uploading I tried to communicate with the foundation to know if they still sell the vhs. I had not any answer.
If the owners of the original vhs so wish, I will eliminate this video from youtube.
Any way, the original has much better images and sound. I hope to have contributed to exalt Ponselle's remind among the lirica lovers.

.......so her Carmen was, after all, a success, eh? That Mr. Downes must have been having a bad day. Mr. Downes felt that the only accomplishment of her Carmen was that she had "heroically reduced." I have her Carmen from Boston, the audience did not clap much. Who cares, have you been to Boston?
