@43m1garand Hi, yes its true how could they have paid off that massive bailout of over $30 billion in just a couple of months if their company:
a) Was liquidated under chapter 11 bankruptcy. The original GM brand is now named "Motors Liquidation Company"
b) Went into billions of dollars in debt over DECADES of incompetent car making. and finally,
c) Continue to make the same junk today even under government's supervision!
"May the best car win" ?? Sounds like a suicide note to me!

@PaladinHludwig I know. I owned a 1989 Ford Escort at the time of that recall. I didn't get it fixed because it wasn't running. I sold it to a junk yard. It was also recalled for the catalytic converter. I don't know which was worse, that or the 1995 Chevy Corsica I had. Both were complete garbage.

GM fired the ad agency it had which also made this ad. GM did not pay off it's government debt. It used one line of credit to pay off another line of credit. It is like using one credit card to pay off another credit card.

You brought a good point and are correct according to my research. Despite the huge Toyota recalls of 2009-2010, Ford still holds the record for most cars recalled (more than 7 million in 1996) at one time.

Yea well I know someone just bought one and after 2 weeks its leaked motor oil all over his driveway. The metal was too thin in part of the block. Maybe its not a good idea to buy bankrupt brands, just a thought.

The traverse is nicer, more efficent, and more handy, but honda's last so much longer.

Howie long would be better off at Radio Shack trying to tickle Best Buy's nerves. Is GM that desperate to make some decent money by bashing the competition? Please. If you want to get my attention, then show some performance videos than constant bitching. Chevy's competition, Honda, Toyota, etc. doesn't even need to make "we're better than you" ads because they don't need to prove anything. They already have reliability. All Chevy has are roomy interiors built for the obese majority today.

That doesn't even make sense. The EPA rated both and the Chevy gets better mileage(by 1 MPG more) while being larger. The Chevy also uses a more advanced engine than the one in the Pilot so that explains the fuel economy.
