Small Faces Lazy sunday afternoon Lyrics

Thanks to http://www.lyricsmode.com

A wouldn't it be nice to get on with me neighbours
But they make it very clear
They've got no room for ravers
They stop me from groovin', they bang on me wall
They doing me crust in, it's no good at all - ah

Lazy Sunday afternoon
I've got no mind to worry
I close my eyes and drift away-a

Here we all are sittin' in a rainbow
Gor blimey hello Mrs. Jones
How's your Bert's lumbago? He mustn't grumble
Tweedle dee bite
I'll sing you a song with no words and no tune
Tweedle dee bite
To sing in your party while you souse at the moon - oh yeah

Lazy Sunday afternoon-a - tweedle dee bite - tweedle dee bite - tweedle dee bite
I've got no mind to worry - yeah - I've got no mind to worry
Close my eyes and drift away-a

Root-de-doo-de-doo, a-root-de-doot-de doy di
A-root-de doot de dum, a-ree-de-dee-de-doo dee - doo doo ....
There's no one to hear me, there's nothing to say
And no one can stop me from feeling this way - yeah

Lazy Sunday afternoon
I've got no mind to worry
Close my eyes and drift away

Lazy Sunday afternoon
I've got no mind to worry
Close my eyes and drift a-
Close my mind and drift away
Close my eyes and drift away

  • Outstanding,, another that stands the test of time, real creativity at it's best.

i cannot compare to todays standards because of the influences, but if imay be so bold to add, in the days of the small faces they had the road gigging and little time creating. but with talented studio engineers, they were able to produce masterpieces like this.no guitar heroes. no double bass drums, no swearing, just LIFE . thanks for posting

  • @9OosummeroO4 Awesome movie.

  • No wonder why the Beatles were so popular in the 60s, sh*te songs like this

  • May I recommend the book 'A Pop Revolution, the transatlantic music scene 1965 to 1969' by the invisible man. The author is a big fan of this track.

  • :-)

  • I thought it was .... to sing in your potty as you sass out the moon. The potty being an outhouse (w/ a moon cut out in the door) like in their video. It's like she's outside taking a dump and still busting their balls .... hahah.

  • @voice940 All good music is recorded while high :P Bob Dylan was permanently high throughout the 60s. Where do you think half of the Beatle's lyrics came from? :P I'll tell you - they was trippin' balls.

  • These guys were too high in the studio to check their levels.....

  • @9OosummeroO4 love that movie ;)
