Bridging gap between US and Pakistan by shunning stereotypes.mov

Pak-US relations had always been faced with rifts, some time soaring and sometime too
cordial. But the Pakistani Youngsters who are in the US universities believe the soaring ties between the two counties are because of media stereotype and not having proper information about the culture and societal norms of each other. More than a hundred students are now in US in various universities under UGrade programme to have one semester stay and education in these universities to understand the culture and education system. These students claim they had been able to portray the positive image of Pakistan which is often being painted with terrorist face. They are of the view people with whom they had interacted feel Pakistan a place worth seeing and the picture often communicated to them by media is not true. Also these cultural ambassadors had learnt a lot from the US society which would be of great help to remove misconceptions in Pakistanis mind about the US.
