I agree, this is not sensitive and introspective like Brahms.

Whaatttt?? I didn't understand this performance...it bears little relation to what Brahms indicates on the page and is certainly far from the herder's lament that inspired the work.

A bit too bombastic for my tastes. Caressed, it should be. Not pounded. All the notes he hits, but not caressed.
