Some of the songs included in this playlist are from Mary Hopkin Show held at Expo Hall Osaka-Suita in July 1970.
Some are from richpat webmaster of the New Mary Hopkin Friendly Society (Wales and world-wide), who continued the society from Ms. Betty Hopkin (Mary's Mother), appears in the first song Plaisir dAmour. The photo was taken in Kyoto, Japan.
Some are from Mary's album "Post Card" originally released in vinyl in 1969 from the Apple Ltd. Mine is a red one from Toshiba Music Industry, Japan. Many repress are issued until today (Toshiba-EMI, EMI and Capitol). Here in Japan, the latest repress' from Toshiba-EMI are in 2005 and 2007. Former; in paper sleeved special, Latter; limited edition. I recommend paper sleeved special because its photos imitating the UK original is very beautiful and inlay includes lyrics card (both in English and in Japanese), available at certain discstores! while great footwork should be needed.

Plaisir d'Amour (Pleasure Search) sung by Mary Hopkin at the live "Mary Hopkin Show" held at Expo Hall, Osaka-Suita in midsummer July 1970. Mary opened her concert with this song.
She sang in French/English/French then.

This live concert was held in Osaka then Mary sang for us in French/English/French. Buy Mary's early recordings CD from sain, former Camblian label. The French &Welish version is included and it's really fantastic.

  • 1.46 is just not long enough. Mary has it all beauty and the voice of an angel.

    Thanks for posting

  • At the Mary Hopkin show, after a good Spanish guitarist play alone, Mary appeared singing this fantastic her favorite song. This is her introduction herself.

Thanks for your lovely comment, cuzinkevin.

    Regards,

    Tommy
