  • nicely done-but it be better if you looked for the actor-Koichi Ose or anyone else-related-most wont even know what /when the tv show was on--yes,most of the show was filmed outside in real locations for the budgeting-and it looked really good-oah ,whos there -oh its you tombie-why they wont repeat the series is because of the voilence of samarai sword fighting--seems now--we are real nutters and cant distinuish between tv and reality..thanks for posting

  • Thanks for the feedback simonmoves.

Would love to find some of the old shintaro crew for a chat.

Kyoto movie village has lots of displays from the era of tv during the 60z ...many familiar faces including one of my favs Amatsu Bin who played a variety of roles usually protagonist eg

  • nicely edited mate.. top clip !!

  • Many thanks I really enjoyed that, I'm a keen Shintaro fan of the 60's.

  • I had the full Shintaro getup, wig, swords, shuriken all made of plastic from the toyshop.

  • Scanlons had 'Sanurai' cards in their bubble gum. I used to buy the cards and ditch the bubble gum... Also, damned surprised that I didn't die very young from home made star-knife wounds... I loved this show!

  • So Ega is a place! I just used to think they were really keen. When I was a little kid I figured if I practiced long enough I'd be able to jump backwards on to the roof of my house. Never made much progress...

  • When I was about 12 or 13 (in Sydney), all my friends and I laughed at the TV show because we thought it was both execrable and funny (especially the dubbing) ... but we all made star knives in Metalwork at school. And we used to have fun speaking as though we were dubbing. Thanks for this entertaining clip ... well done. :)

  • what a pity you didn't go to Ega....it's deep south of osaka, and there they have a ninja museum, complete with houses, and a history of ninja equipment, tools, and hust about everything there is to know about ninja.,....and THAt is REALLY in the middle of nowhere...and--of course---you should go to odawarra castle, shintaro's headquarters.....garry--brisbane...i have the wig.....

  • There were scanlen collector cards too, for the Shinataro tvseries.
