@sovietjoybuzzer Government does not allow these statistics to be collected but in the US they do and 10% of the population who are black commit 50% of the crime. They are disproportionately affected too, so the crime stays inside the community usually. However I think that five times as many whites are victims of a black criminal than vice versa. I am not 100% sure of the 5 times it may be 4 or 7, but can look it up on wikipdeia.

Immigrants are not bad people, it's a simple matter of Canada taking in too many over such a short period of time, which has resulted in our quality of life deteriorating. You don't buy an expensive car if you can't afford it, nor do you have children if you can't finance their education etc., so why would a government import millions of people we cannot afford to house, educate, or provide employment for? It's over for Canada, and it's so sad to see a good country die like this.

@JanetofCambridge And you showed your deep patriotism and love for Canada by emigrating to another country while at the same time slamming Canadian immigration policies and saying that the country is finished. Irony, eh?
-
@JanetofCambridge Per capita, multicultural Canada is a safer country and the statistics prove this to be true. I can back this up with links to credible government websites. Where do you get your information because it is seriously flawed if you believe these numbers represent the crime statistics of Costa Rica.

People who express their concerns about how excessive immigration is effecting the quaility of life in Canada "are not racists", they are patriotic citizens who are deeply concerned about the country. Most immigrants are great people, it's a simple matter of Canada accepting too many over such a short period of time. It's like purchasing a car you can't afford, or having children you cannot financially support. Canada is finished, sad but true.

@noonespecial2001 7 died in "vehicle accidents." 4 died from drowning. 6 died from "drug related" causes.
8 committed suicide. 2 died from "other accidents." 6 were murdered.
Costa Rica is the safest country in Latin American for Gringos.

Murder rate in Costa Rica in 2009: 11.0 / 100,000 people
Murder rate in Canada in 2009: 1.81 / 100,000 people
Murder rate in Toronto in 2009: 1.61 / 100,000 people
If you're going to play the game of statistics with me, you aren't going to be very successful.
Shall we discuss poverty rates next?

@noonespecial2001 Dear Noon: 95% of all gun related crimes in Toronto Canada are committed by Jamaican gangs. There are many more murders in Canada than there are in Costa Rica each year. The property taxes on my home in CR are $250. per year, in Canada they are $400.10 per month. 20,000 Canadians have now moved to CR according to the Canadian Embassy in San Jose. Corrupt politicians are jailed in CR, not like in Canada. There are so many reasons why CR is a better place to live.
-
So you're "escaping" to Costa Rica because you're opposed to immigration?
Oh, the irony.
FYI, if Canada has become the cesspool you seem to believe it has become due to immigration, I suggest you compared crime and poverty rates in Costa Rica (a country I happen to love as well) to that of Canada.
Montreal police also say that even though the amount of murders were down in the city in 2008, street gangs are still a growing threat, most notably from Latino immigrant (some illegal) street gangs. Minority criminal gangs are wreaking havoc across the country. Political correctness and multiculturalism are failing the Canadian people because these tools hide facts and truth from them. We need major immigration reform in Canada if we want a better future for the country.

MP Lee Richardson handily won his re-election bid in the inner-city riding of Calgary Centre and cruised to a third straight federal election victory brushing aside both his competitors and a brief uproar about the comments he made linking immigrants and crime. Before the election Richardson was asked about recent gun violence in Calgary, he blamed the problems on minorities -then later said his comments were misinterpreted.
