It was the most subtly beautiful performance... most musicals singers can "belt" a song, and do the cheap trick of going for the "money" notes, it takes real class to take it down a peg or two and really "control" the voice and the emotion, for me, much more powerful, but each to their own.

I have the impression that the pianist is improvising, playing this for the first time as he reads the scales he must play in each measure. I couldn't even enjoy the song because the piano was so obviously improvised.
