Original theme of the song "A Groovy Kind of Love" written by Clementi for piano learners in 1797 and revised in 1820. The British band The Mindbenders covered this tune in 1965 and slowed down the tempo. They peaked at #2 in UK. Phil Collins covered it again in 1988 and made #1 in UK.

  • @EugenArbrakh It is the other way around Mozart copied Clementi, used the theme of his sonata op. 24 no. 2 for the Magic Flute... how's that!

  • @alfonsopablo oh no... on the contrary.. it was Mozart who copied Clementi.

  • @alfonsopablo Clementi copied from Mozart? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING??

  • Phil Collins copied from Clementi and Clementi copied from Mozart.

In order to complete the cycle I copied from Phil Collins.

If you are listening to this piece, then you have good knowledge of music. Therefore, I would like you to watch my video (click on my name 'alfonsopablo'). I would really appreciate your comments. Thanks!

  • I've always liked Groovy Kind of Love but didn't realize the theme comes from this piece of music. YouTube is such an education!

  • Everybody likes Mozart but I have always preferred Clementi. more singing, pure fun, tellement plus chantant and plaisant.
