On the anniversary of the rigged June 2009 presidential elections, and one year of unprecedented violence and repression in Iran, Iranians and non-Iranians alike joined hands to demand unconditional release of ALL prisoners of conscience.
More than 85 cities in the world participated, including Tokyo, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, Prague, Berlin, Paris, Los Angeles ...
Sponsors included Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Reporters Without Borders and many others.
Paris adopted Saeed Matinpour, a journalist sentenced unfairly to 8 years for "having relations with foreign media".
The gathering took place at Le Mur Pour la Paix near Eiffel Tower, Saturday, June 12th.
The demands to the Islamic Republic of Iran are : unconditional release of all prisoners of conscience, an immediate halt to all executions, an end to all torture, rape, and psychological abuse, freedom of assembly and from arbitrary arrest, revision of discriminatory laws against women.
