GM and Chevron killed the Electric car, and now claim that it didn't exist. Well, this car proves that it does, and that GM is a LIAR.

Since when did GM claims the EV car does not exist, You can find on their website the archives of their EV1 vehicule.

They removed it because its sucks, top speed 80mph??? This guy says i can do 120miles but from what i read by a former GM engineer stated that i would do 90miles/highway or 70miles/city. Add in the fact that the care was much more expensive to build, takes several hours to recharge. Its a pretty shitty care compared to regular cars or hybrids.

If people really were clammoring for tiny, underpowered, expensive,go ofy-looking vehicles with very limited range.......the car companies would produce them. But if you want something to haul your family,a trailer,a carload of stuff from the store, and can't afford multiple vehicles.....

I've got two questions
How do you repair it when it's not working properly?
How did you keep it?

Toyota will repair it, at a steep price (since they got us by the long johns, they can charge what they wish). Toyota honorably SOLD 328 RAV4-EV between Mar. and Nov., 2002, perhaps as a negotiating ploy because Chevron sued them to stop production and got $30M.

Remember that this was 10 years ago. Batteries were not as good then as they are now.

You're half-right - if they had paid attention to the improvements in mileage they were getting with newer battery techs as the project went on, they might have held on to the EV1.

The batteries then were BETTER than what they have now; you can't buy the PSB EV-EC 1260 lead-acid or the PEVE EV-95 battery at ANY price.

I'm not familiar with the PEVE, but you're horribly wrong about the lead-acid battery. NiMH batteries are better than lead-acid and lithium batteries are even better than NiMH.

"BETTER" depends on your parms. The lowest life-cycle cost battery is lead-acid; and Lithium has problems. If it's rendered safe, via FeMn additives, the energy density goes down; and it's still the most expensive and short-lived.
